WHEN WAS BASCIANI FOODS ESTABLISHED?

Basciani Foods was founded by Emidio Basciani in 1925. After 10 years of experience working for other mushroom farms in the area, he decided to start his own business in his backyard.


ARE MUSHROOMS GROWN IN FIELDS?

No, they’re grown in climate controlled block buildings we call “mushroom houses.”


ARE MUSHROOMS A SEASONAL PRODUCT?

No, since mushrooms are grown indoors and require a certain type of climate to grow, we are able operate year round.


ARE YOU ABLE TO SHIP LONG DISTANCES?

Yes, we are able to ship our products anywhere in the United States.


WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Basciani Foods Headquarters are located in Avondale, PA, about 40 miles west of Philadelphia.  Other processing and storage locations include Orlando, FL; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Independence, LA; Denver, CO; and Atlanta, GA. Read more about our locations.
